Now that Lady Gaga is raking in a lot of money from her album sales and concerts, someone from her past wants a part of her earnings. Rob Fusari, a songwriter/music producer, and an ex-boyfriend of Gaga, is suing the singer for $30.5 million for royalties on Lady Gaga’s songs.
Fusari explained in court papers which he filed last Wednesday that he was the one who came up with the name Lady Gaga, and that he has co-written the songs Paparazzi and Beautiful Dirty Rich.
Now, Lady Gaga’s lawyers have filed a counter lawsuit against Fusari, saying his allegations are “unlawful.”
Sure we’ll be hearing more from the two parties soon. So let’s just get back on this case once it’s settled, yes?
Keanu Reeves won the lawsuit against him when a jury of his peers determined that he is not liable for the injuries of paparazzo Alison Shiva. This sucks for Alison but he’s too stupid to realize that he was tagged in a video showing him scaling a chain link fence using his damaged hand. He claimed that Keanu struck him with his Porsche back in 2007, resulting in physical injuries and damaging his wrist which caused him to lose work. Unfortunately, he was seen using the injured hand after the alleged incident. The AP reports:
Over the course of four days, jurors heard how Silva gave contradictory statements about what happened and even saw a video of the celeb shooter using his supposedly damaged hand to scale down a chain link fence after getting video of Britney Spears.
Reeves stayed for the whole trial, testifying and signing the occasional autograph in the hallway.
Keanu got away with paying out a large sum in this one.
